Yes. And how can Madonna choose one little Malawi child to elevate to the level of demi god, while leaving the rest of his people without? Why not take the $ they'd estimate it'd take to raise a child to age 18 and donate that entire amount to the betterment of his entire community? Wouldn't that be a better show of "wealth" and "concern for humanity"? Same to Brad and Angelina.
I guess the answer to your question is this: find a way to strike it rich, then you can spend much money on luxurious thins and parties. Or you can choose to donate a portion of your newfound wealth to any of a number of causes: homelessness, AIDS, children in foster care, cancer research, stem cell research, or anything else that might better the plight of the poor, the ill, the less fortunate than you.

To what direction is your question?
That the rich should give all to the poor, give a percentage to the poor?
Maybe the horror of extravagance when so many are needy?
If you are rich and willing to give to the poor, if you have no family that is poor, then how do you know whom to give to? Can you trust every so called charity?
A lot of times there are those that would greatly appreciate and know how to manage any help given, but at the same time there are many that will only take advantage without trying to improve.
Perhaps you were merely making a factual statement.

Rich people live the same way as everyone else, except everything is just oh so much nicer, it just makes the quality of life higher (I would assume from visiting a rich friend). Anyways yeah I don't know, probably because they don't know poor people personally, and assume they can make it on their own. The people who have been rich their whole life have been raised that way so they don't know how fortunite they are.

Those luxurious things are not made by the Keebler Elves. The luxurious things give people jobs.
