After knowing her for 2 years you don't know?
Try starting up a converstion with her, get her on her own and start talking about something, anything really and see how it goes from there!
Keep it going for a few weeks, watch out for her making a lot of eye contact or looking down and then back at you. Touching you incontionuosly (forgive spelling : ) ) on the arm. THen bring up the subject of your sexuality. And wait for a response

LOL took me some time to understand what you was talking about in this post...however, if she is straight you cant change the way she is, believe you me there are plenty of fish out in the sea, I know right now it seems right now that "shes the one" but you cant change her sexual feelings. Why dont you go on yahoo personnals, or match.com, and browse to see if someone is more compatible for you (if MELISSA turns out straight, or she doesnt feel the same about you)

Then she'll either go "ewwww!!!!" or say "sorry, I don't date women"...
...but then you'll know you've wasted two years, pining after someone you can never have. You will have learnt a lesson that if you don't ask, you don't get - and, if you do ask, you've still no guarantee that you'll get.
