I have some serious issues with my 2000 eclipse. It started a few days ago. Everytime the car stands for a bit it has trouble starting off.
EX:

When Im just starting off i have to rev it real high for it to move and it barely moves at first and then starts moving fine. It does this in every gear for the first few minutes of driving then when warmed up it is all normal. After one hour of being parked, It goes back to the same problem.

Anyone have any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks In Advance!

Best check the transmission level and condition of the fluid (ie. is it pink or looks like used engine oil) If its dark and smells burnt, the valve body is contaminated and will not allow the valves to move until they expand with heat.

Transmission shop time :< clutch paks are toast , until they heat up your a no go ,or you could be dangerously low on fluid one of the two

Check automatic transmission fluid for signs of contamination, smell and fluid level. if it smell burnt or is not clear, red, you have a transmission problem.

I agree with 'em all. You aren't building up enough pressure. It could be as simple as a pressure regulator. But it really sounds like it is just time for a new one.
