We think a family member is being poisioned be his Exwife. While he is in the hospital he is fine till after she visists then he is very violently ill. We discussed it with the doctor tonight. but he shrugged us off. If the doctor is not going to listen to us. and do any procationary blood work to see if we are right we cannot go to the police. What can we do to get the doctor's to listen?

I did forget to mention she is the excutor over his estate. how that happen we do not know. and she is also has the say over what happens to him in the hospital. What I meant by violently ill. is vomenting. Unless someone has been in the room with her the whole time this does not happen. but if she is in there by her self. she will leave and he will be dry heaving or vominting blood all night long. He seems to only trust her. And we don't know why. Because a few months ago he would not have anything to do with her. because she left him for their adopted son. and has married him. so nothing is making since here.

If the doctor won't listen to you the first time, keep repeating it, and go to the police! You don't need to wait for blood work to report the suspicion. Explain to the police there is obvious animosity between this family and his EX..duh that's why they are EX's. Secondly, remind the police that if the family member is not being injured for malicious reasons there is a psychological disorder called Munchhausen Syndrome By Proxy where someone will injure others to get attention for themselves...IE ex wife visits, family member gets sick..EX gets help, she gets attention from doctors and nurses asking what happened... This is not a common disorder but it exists and does happen... I'm more betting if she is doing something it's malicious.

He becomes violent when his EX-wife is around? Sure, I would buy the stories that he is being poisoned as well. Poisoning would show up in preliminary bloodwork - your classic CBC (complete blood count) - and they would do more investigative work from there based upon those results. If he was in the hospital and drew blood, that would be the first thing they do - it tells you everything - and I do mean everything. (it tells you about red blood cells, white blood cells, bone marrow, lymphatic system, liver and kidney function - when one result is "off" they know where to do more looking for problems)
It sounds like a classic case of family being very worried - perhaps understandably - and not understanding how tests work. You might want to ask him for the results of lab tests that have been done so far - and for him to explain what those results mean. A little understanding will help your worries a lot.
In the meantime, keep that woman away from him - its not good for his nerves and I can tell that with out lab work.

I would put a restraining order on her, keep her out of the hospital. Tell that doctor that his refusal to listen to you is unacceptable and if he does not seriously listen to you, you are going to seek legal advice and report him to the AMA, plus you will report the suspected poisoning to the police, plus find another doctor, and if it does show that poison is in your family member's system you will file legal action for him for obstructing justice by not allowing medical tests be performed when there was a crime being committed. I would also go to the hospital administrator and tell them you have a serious problem with the doctor not listening to your concerns. I would keep a journal of all the dates, times she has visited, your loved ones reactions, time date ect.

Get demanding and threaten to report the doc if he keeps demonstrating poor bedside manner. For real though, present the doctors with concrete facts that you think he is being poisioned. All doctors want is the facts, and it sounds like the doctor thinks that you only are guessing. Make him know you are serious by bringing the facts ASAP.

With the new HIPAA regulations, the doctor shouldn't be discussing the patient's condition with anyone without the patient's permission. However, you can make your concerns known to the doctor.
Put your concerns in writing. Send a copy of your letter to the doctor, to the Medical Director of the hospital, and to the police. Be sure to include dates, symptoms, witnesses and responses by all with whom you've spoken. Once your concerns are in writing, someone will have to address them. You can also contact the ombudsman of the hospital and inform him/her that you don't feel your concerns are being properly addressed.

You need to report that doctor to other staff. I would also tell your family member to ask for it. Then the doctor has to listen.

final time the healthcare expert did this to me, she did no longer say something or provide any warning, merely whipped out the stethoscope and positioned it down my authentic (i'm a woman too). i exchange into merely like what the?! and she or he exchange into merely sat there counting my heart fee lol. So i assume the stethoscope should be against your pores and skin, yet you do no longer could take off your authentic.
