I'd say present environment and up bringing have a role, but mainly it's your outlook on life and your attitude.

so, someone is very annoying and you were hostile to them because of it? Thats normal, but next time, say " look i dont mean to sound rude but you are starting to really upset me, so i need a little time to my self"
