Take him to the DOCTOR! No one here has any idea what is wrong with your son. This is not something to mess with. If something drastic was to happen, that can lead to infection, deformity, or worse. . .how would you explain to him that you went to Yahoo Answers because you wanted to avoid going to the doctor???

There is no need to pull back the uncircumsised penis skin by you ever. Your son will do it himself naturally. When he's about 5 or 6 you can teach him to clean it himself. Other than that, leave it alone! And limit his bubble baths, they tend to cause the dry cracked peeper skin.

You're not supposed to pull his foreskin back!!! PLEASE DON'T DO IT AGAIN!!!! And whatever you do, if you take him to the doctor, don't let them decide to cut it! He'll be fine so long as you *leave him alone* from now on. You are *never* supposed to manipulate your son's foreskin--the first one to do it should be *him* when he's older. He should be the only one cleaning it--all you need to do it wipe it off like you'd wipe off a baby girl. His foreskin was not meant to pull back in childhood, and I could bet you're the one who caused those cracks in his foreskin. Perhaps a baby lotion will do the trick, but your quickest route for it healing especially, is to do as you should have done and leave it alone.

It's great that you've left him intact, but it's terrible that in our society nobody knows how to take care of a boy's natural penis--which is to leave it alone. Couldn't be much simpler.

When my kids were small I always used bag balm (the ointment used to heal cow udder's) I know it sounds strange, but it works wonders. My pediatrician totally agreed with usage.

Go to the drugstore and buy Aquaphor. It is an excellent cream for dry, cracked skin and diaper rash. (It is made for children.)

a little dab of vaseline will do the trick, with each diaper change.
