Yeah!
I totally spent several hours of my hard-to-find free time helping out a friend who has severe test anxiety- like a major case- and got her to a point where she feels much better about herself. I also told her that she could call me even late tonight to talk to me about it some more if she wanted to. She is such a good friend to me that I felt it was the only thing to do because I know that she would do the same for me if I asked her to!

My boyfriend suffers from depression, but he wants to solve it his way (as in no drugs, no counselors).

In the past, I've tended to get really frustrated with him and get angry about it.

Today, when he was way down on himself, I tried to offer new suggestions that didn't come from anger, but from a serious desire to see him be better to himself.

I don't know if that was special, but I felt like I was handling it better than I have.

I left work early to pick up her rotten father-in-law and take him to the diner, so she could put in some more hours at work and pick him up from the diner

No, I didn't. But guess what someone did for me earlier this week:

I told a coworker I liked her sweater. She took it off and gave it to me.

I was touched.
