I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra which has started to squeak when I start driving and hit the brakes. The squeaking only happens on the first and second time I hit the brakes then stops for the rest of the time? The car only has 14,100 miles on it and I don't think the brakes are covered under warranty so I am very shaky about bringing it in unless Nissan is going to pay for it.

What you guys think could be the problem?

could be the low pad indicator squealing. pull your front wheels off and check the pads and see how much pad you have left. if you do alot of city driving stop and go they can wear down easily in a years time or so, miles is not always what you look at. i have found the original pads do not last long anyhow. check it out to be on the safe side. no, normal wear and tear is not cover under warranty read the fine lines, but they will check it out and let you know for free before you sign. DIY if you can....

good luck

Pads or rotors could be crystallized , I would doubt the squealers are rubbing with that low of mileage , word of advice though if you do end up changing pads out go with factory pads , they will be a bit more expensive but I have found on newer Japanese cars if you but a high metalic or nice bendix ceramic they will make noise also . so go factory specs . :)

I think it's a minor pad problem. Try calling Nissan and ask what they are going to do about it! Don't take any b.s and stand by your warranty.
