I hurt my knee when I was in high school, but continued to play sports because the provincials were coming and I didn't want to miss them. I have been paying for that decision ever since and I knew better because my doctor told me not to play. Please go see a medical professional before you cheer again. You could do some damage that could affect you for the rest of your life. Trust me it's not worth it.

Put an ice pack on your knee (ice in a baggie, covered with a towel, or use a bag of frozen peas) tonight, 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, for a few cycles. First thing in the morning, go to an urgent care facility or to your doctor and get x-rays. You could have cellulitis from minute scrapes on the skin, and may have an infection brewing. That is nothing to play around with, as it could be come much more serious.
I know you don't want to miss the last game, but preserving your knee and health for the future is really more important.

If you are having a lot of pain and cannot bend or extend the knee without this pain than I would recommend at least an x-ray to rule out a fracture. This is a common mechanism of injury for a fracture to the patella (knee cap) - falling directly onto the front of the knee. You need to allow your body to rest and heal before returning to an athletic event. If you do not you risk getting hurt further or even worse as well as hurting someone else.

I am not going to say what you want to to hear. But you need to go to the Dr. Cheering on that Knee may end up doing a life time of damage to you. and you may also end up hurting someone else. and I don't think that you want that on your conscious. Do not take any pain meds and try to cheer on the knee. that knee can go right out from under you. Take the advice of the other two that did it and been there. Go to the Doctor. get ex-rays. and get your knee looked after. You do want to be able to continue to cheer. next year. Good Luck.

Rest and ice are gonna be your best bets, also if you have something cooling and numbing like mineral ice that will help, I would get a knee pad like the rollerbladers use, sports stores and even Walmart sell them. Really you shouldn't participate in the game, but I know you really want to and it's the last game so just be careful, take some motrin or some pain med before you. after the game, ice it, rest it, and if it's not better in 48 hours, or worsens, feels hot to touch, see your doctor immediately as you could have chipped the bone.

Stop putting your body weight on it!! I would skip the cheer tomorrow, sorry not what you wanted to hear but forfeit a game and go seek professional medical care before it becomes a permanent injury.

Not that I know of. You need to get Xrays or MRI to check for fracture.
If it is only a tiny bit of snagged cartilage, you might get better in a month to 3 months if you take glucosamine/chondroitin sulfates complex, and/or hyaleuronic acid, which is also referred to as H.A. for short. You can get those products at healthfood stores, and some grocery stores.
Sorry.
