Does anyone 'loath fake nails' as I do?
The look 'fake,' we all know they are fake and I'd really hate to have anyone wearing them touching me.
I get the impression they are supposed to look 'glamourous,' but as we all know they are FAKE, then we also know that 'glamour' is a FAKE too ...and making it all so tacky.
Anyone (male or female) feel the same?

At last, someone who agrees with me. I thought I was the only person in the world who hates these things. They look totally ridiculous, as if the woman has paddles stuck on the ends of her fingers and they are so long and so thick - yuk. Also, the squared off ends look as if the nail is broken. If you watch the tv shopping channels such as Gems TV etc., you will see plenty of fake nails and they make me feel sick and shudder and certainly would not want to be touched by anybody wearing them. One or two of the presenters, however, have pretty almond shaped normal nails and how much prettier they look, especially if varnished in a pretty shade (NOT black as is the fashion nowadays).
I can't understand how women with these nails manage with the ordinary, everyday stuff such as typing etc.
Let's start a movement to get this fashion changed back to normal a.s.a.p.

I'd love to have nice nails, one of my medical conditions means my nails flake and pit so no matter how good the manicure my nails are a mess.
I occasionally have fake nails done, but I insist they are short and they are filed thin so they look as natural as possible. If htey are done really well you can't tell.

YES....I HATE THEM...in the summer I had got some fake nails b/c the polish on my manicure would never last....so I must have forgot how much I HATE fake nails and got some.....they are painful putting them on as well as taking them off....they also damage ur nails and leave nasty ridges....YUCK!!!!!!

They usually look tacky but when they're natural-looking French tips they can look great. Some people just can't grow nice nails, so this is an option for them.
I do think they're very unhealthy for the nail bed though.

I prefer girls who have a natural look... sure makeup and other things are good, but when it is used to enhance your current natural look.

I don't like fake nails. Sometimes I will see girls wearing these ridiculous obvious long fake nails and that's weird. I wear my nails natural and they're a nice active length. I don't like the gross little nubbies either LOL

Really don't like them as filth and stains seem to collect under the tips,ewww, really gross when worn by someone who works in food sevice.

I couldn't agree with you more, fake nails look cheap and trashy and the women who wear them are the least likely women to make good girlfriends or wives and the most likely to go for other false bits. Women who wear these ridiculous things are self obsessed and extremely vain. I prefer real women.

yes i hate it when i see somebody with nails so long and fake looking you just dont want to look at them. o, and also when they touch you and its like eew. i hate fake nails because their fake! lol
