Basically, I missed 2 pills this month (Tri-Cyclen Lo 28 day) By Accident! Very busy/stressful month. =S First, I am wondering if I can use a pregnancy test (First Response) while being on my period, or do I need to wait until it is finished in order for it to work properly? Second, My period is not 'normal' right now compared to how it usually is. It's real dark in color and is lighter too.. Could this be because I might be pregnant, or is it an effect from missing 2 pills this month??

Although it's uncommon, I know some women can still get a light period for a short amount of time even if they are pregnant. This is why I'm concerned..

Okay, YES you can be pregnant and STILL have your period!!!!! I would stop taking the pill and go see your Gyno. I used First Response 4 times and still went to the gyno to find out I was over two months pregnant with my second child. With my first child again I was 2 months pregnant but the pregnancy test worked right away. All in all it doesn't hurt if you get checked out. It's better than having a possible miscarriage. Right?

I would wait until your period is over before taking a pregnancy test - if I took one at all. All the things that you have talked about can cause your period to be different than it has in the past. If you are really concerned, you can always call your doctor or a health clinic - they can give you confidential advice and be a good source of support for you.

Yes, I think it is because you missed the two pills. But just in case, I would definitely take a pregnancy test before starting the pill again.
