I had to look it up, so guess I'm not as perspicacious as I would like to be.

I know what it means, but I've always believed the purpose of communications is to communicate and there are more useful adjectives available for conversation with the religious when half of evangelical adults have never attended college, i.e.: "Which belief is more sensible? The belief in a god that is intimately involved in your life, and always watches out for you, or the belief in a god that does neither? What about the belief in no god? More or less sensible?" In 23 years in a University setting, I have never heard "perspicacious" used in a sentence. In fact I've only heard "shrewd" used in mockery.
