I applied at circuit city and bestbuy for a job, how long would it take for them to call me or email me to see if i got hired?

It probably depends on your area and how busy the hiring manager is. I believe my brother's experience was about 3 weeks? One thing that might accellerate the process is if you contact them and just let them know that you are still interested in the position if it has not been filled. Make sure you talk to the hiring manager and introduce yourself. Then, when they are going through the applications, and your name looks familiar, you stand a better chance of getting called in if you left a good impression.

You could be waiting until pigs fly! You need to call back and ask if they have made a decision. They will ask who you are and that will pull your application to the top! In the future, always ask before you leave: May I ask what your timeframe is to make a decision? They shoud give you an idea but you always want to follow up jsut to get you name from the bottom to the top. They take many applications but many more around this time. Sometimes its hard to keep up so calling them helps them out too!. You will do fine! They love an enthusiastic woker! Let them know how much you can make their day by hiring you! :)

It usually takes a couple days for the application to go through. Also, they look at how you answered the questions, and if the position you applied for is still open, once all that is cleared up then they give you a call, set up an interview, and you take the drug test. So give it a couple days, if anything follow up and call them.
