People are confusing control IN their dreams with control OF their dreams. Can you give more details. do you want to dream about something special? do you want to stop a certain dream? If you are dreaming and you wake up do you want to go back to that dream?

No, but I have spent time keeping a dream journal. After a while I could remember more dreams. Then I started having lucid dreams (where you realize you're dreaming during the dream.). I was able to decide my own actions in those dreams, but the content of the dream was being controled by my subconscious. I'm sure that if I would have kept it up I could have gained more control over my dreams. Makes me want to do it again, but I'm too busy these days.

Just lately. The first time I was holding on to the string of a balloon going higher and higher. I got scared and thought about going down lower, and I came back down some. That's when I realized I could control it by thought and it became fun. The next time I was walking along a gravel road in bare feet and suddenly remembered I could fly instead. So I thought about lifting off the ground and going forward and it worked! Since then I've 'remembered' that I could fly while dreaming and do. Sometimes I go too high and it's scary.

It depends on the person, the willpower and mind power of the person. Not mind power like magic, but the way your mind works. I've gained control in my dreams before and found it distasteful to be absolutely in my dream and being like I am in reality. Not to meantion the out of body feeling and wondering if you're going mad. At times it can be invigorating but I leave it mainly to my subconcious mind.
Because your "subconcious" mind is in control of your dreams, your concious mind would have to have more control over your mind than your subconcious. Or, something of that sort. My subconcious rules, but that's the way I prefer it and it is much easier to find information inside my head with my subconcious doing all the thinking and fetching of information Because my concious mind stumbles over information (I say that my subconcious did the filing and therefore my concious mind has no idea where to look). Put my concious mind into a dream, and therefore controlling a dream, and things go completely wrong. Thus, dream controlling is not something I'd do, and also it can be said that not for everyone. Some people can enjoy it, or come to learn to enjoy it but it might be that being concious in your dreams is jarring and makes you feel out of place.

Yes and here is how I was taught to do this. First get a ring made of silver. Were it on you dominate hand. Now when you sleep think about the ring. It may take as long as 3 months to do this next part. there will come a time where you know your asleep. Now look at your hands. Turn them over. In your dreams you can always find your hands. Look at the ring and use it to make your dream change. After a time you will not need a ring or your to look at your hands.
Do this every night until you get good at it.

Not completely but when I know I'm dreaming or I can make myself go back to a dream I can control most of it.Then again I have dreams that I think are real, until I realize I didn't do or go somewhere or do something.

With practice, it's possible. I've done it on occasion, but not consistently yet; it requires lucidity - the awareness that you *are* dreaming - and that's the part I haven't been conssistent with. When I do realize, I have almost total control if I choose to take it.

As a rule no! I did however have one re ac curing dream where I would have this stranger come to my town and totally mess me up. One night I said to myself, this will happen no more. I dreamt that night and during our fight I did remove his head and was not hurt myself at all. Dreams do come true! hehehe

Well, there's something called "escapism". This is when someone imganies, or daydreams things they want to happen to them. This is controlled.
But your dreams are influenced by your ego, which is in your subconsciousness. You want something, but because society might see this desire of yours as rude or unacceptable, it hides in the back of your mind. So then the only way this desire can make itself heard is through appearing in your dreams.
Hope I helped you out.
