Yes.

Sure. Sometimes the happy music triggers a memory which is now sad (such as hearing a song your [blank]'s favorite song - the blank being someone who has since passed), or you and your ex's song.

Sometimes the happy song is tied into something sad. Even with my huge music collection, I can't think of an actual song where this is the case. But if you listen to Ode to Freud - the entrance music for Mankind in WWF(then) - the second part is seemingly happy piano music, although his character was portrayed as being 'demented and deranged'

it depends what it reminds you of. if you listen to a normally happy song and something sad happened to you when you hear it for the first time. you may correlate that as a sad song.
Like for me, The Xmas song " Silent Night" is a very depressing song for me. many people find it happy. I hear and would like to die.

Yes, and I'm 51 and music has been a weird thing for me. If I'm not in a relationship-I won't listen to music just to listen. I have the music that I choose on a day to day basis, but if I'm in love - play anything and I'll listen to it. It depends on my mood and relationship status, my final answer.

it happens to me all the time...

when i was young i'd listen to the radio
waiting for my favorite songs
when they played i'd sing along,
it make me smile.

those were such happy times and not so long ago
how i wondered where they'd gone.
but they're back again just like a long lost friend
all the songs i love so well.
every shalala every wo'wo
still shines.

every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing
so fine

when they get to the part
where he's breaking her heart
it can really make me cry
just like before.
it's yesterday once more.
(shoobie do lang lang)
looking bak on how it was in years gone by
and the good times that had
makes today seem rather sad,
so much has changed.

it was songs of love that i would sing to them
and i'd memorise each word.
those old melodies still sound so good to me
as they melt the years away
every shalala every wo'wo still shines

every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're startingto sing
so fine
all my best memorise come back clearly to me
some can even make me cry
just like before.
it's yesterday once more.
(shoobie do lang lang)
every shalala every wo'wo still shines.
every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing
so fine
every shalala every wo'wo still shines.
every shing-a-ling-a-ling that they're starting to sing
so fine

yes that used to happen to me with this one techno dance cd, its upbeat music but it reminded about good times i had and how i dont have times like that any more! if its a specific song or cd try and listen to it while your doing something fun or during a happy time.
