This is defiantly a sensor problem. It must be scanned or your just wasting your time and money throwing parts at it.

Chances are that the problem lies with the coolant temp sensor. The cat thinks it is warm and won't add the extra fuel it needs for the cold mornings (computer's idea of a choke). The intake air temp sensor may be a problem, but not likely here, unless extreme values are seen.
The other possible probability might be a MAF sensor slightly out of calibration, or the "hot" wire contaminated by bug guts.
All of this to say, it will be necessary to either do the "Shotgun in the dark" approach, or use a scanner (not a code reader) to see live date when trying to start the car. You will want to make arrangements to allow the repair facility to keep the car overnight so HE can see what is going on while it is cold.

Good Luck and Merry Christmas

Take the car to a shop that does computer diagnosis. It sounds like either a coolant temp sensor or perhaps an air charge temp sensor.

Maybe this is a stupid question... But is it a diesel car ?
If it is a diesel then it's most likely the glow plugs
