I had to take iron supplements for a while because i am borderline anemic, anyways the only one i really had was constipation every now and then. sometimes it can cause the color of your stool to be darker than normal but other than that i cant think of anything. You may notice and increase in energy, the iron should give you more.
to answer ur question.. dark stools is when your poop is darker than normal. sometimes it may even look black. usually nothing to be alarmed about though.

Excess amounts of iron can result in toxicity and even death.

There is considerable potential for iron toxicity because very little iron is excreted from the body. Thus, iron can accumulate in body tissues and organs when normal storage sites are full. For example, people with hemachromatosis are at risk of developing iron toxicity because of their high iron stores.

In children, death has occurred from ingesting 200 mg of iron [7]. It is important to keep iron supplements tightly capped and away from children's reach. Any time excessive iron intake is suspected, immediately call your physician or Poison Control Center, or visit your local emergency room. Doses of iron prescribed for iron deficiency anemia in adults are associated with constipation, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, especially when the supplements are taken on an empty stomach.

Iron may cause stomach cramps, constipation, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. Iron can cause the stools to turn black in color. This is due to unabsorbed iron and is not harmful. Inform your doctor if you develop: severe stomach pains, chest pain, clammy skin, bluish-colored lips or fingernails. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Gakic is a muscle building supplement. It doesn't seem terribly dangerous (I'm not entirely sure what's in it) but I would worry about someone that young taking it. In fact, on the webstie, it says that it is extremely potent, and should only be taken on days you work out. So I can definetly understand your concern.

There are no serious side effects unless you take an over dosage. So basically stay on the recommented daily dosage and you'll be fine. "Side effects" (from over dosage) are most likely to be affecting your red blood cell concentration, mild constipation and hair growth.
