Well, it seems to be the most commonly used, along with HR Profiler and Prevue.

Out of these I have only ever done and administered Prevue - with mixed results. The one I did was uncannily accurate in some areas and completey off course in others.

I think as someone else said, as long as you don't have to pay for it. It's a useful assessment tool.......................but as far as I'm concerned only to a certain extent

The test is accurate enough. They ask you a series of questions which ask you what form of communication or behaviour you prefer and then come back and tell you what you told them.

For example, one of the axis is whether you are extrovert or introvert, so they ask questions like do you prefer to work by yourself or with others; or do you enjoy meeting new people or prefer not to meet new people.

I would be happy to do a Myers Briggs test if I do not have to pay for it. That is how much I think it is worth. Its real value is in the hands of a good team building consultant who administers it to a work team and then leads discussion about how the different profiles might effect the work of the team.

I might be prejudiced against it because I had a profile that was totally opposed to lots of meetings and was in a team, the majority of who were happiest in meetings. They felt the best way to accommodate my preference was to have lots of meetings where I could discuss it. You can imagine the effect on my performance.

Meyers-Briggs test is a well known and often used psychological test for those that work in career counseling, educational psychology and Industrial-Organizational fields. It is well validated and considered by most professionals to be a very predictive test! I have taken it several times over the years and with consistent results. It is particularly good at judging the types of jobs that will be most satisfying for you.
