First off would be to check your local gamestore or comic book shop, as game groups will often post notices/fliers about upcoming games. It looks like the closest game stores are about 30 miles from Pittsfield, Flights of Fantasy and Zombie Planet in Albany and Modern Myths in Northampton. Your closest bet would probably be Fanatsy Realms comic shop on Elm St in Pittsfield. If no one has posted anything, ask they owner if you can put something up looking for gamers.
Another avenue would be to check Yahoo!Groups or MeetUp.com for roleplaying groups in your area.
