yes you can

the DDR, DDR2, and now DDR3 ON VIDEO CARDS, does not have to be DDR like the motherboards/chipset

The latest cards are using DDR3 (nVidia 8800 GTx) and they will fit into anything w/ a PCI-Express slot on a motherboard using (DDR or DDR2)

Dont get the 2 confused.

What's on the video card has absolutely NO RELATIONS to what's on your mainboard... other than the interface slot that the video card plugs into (and perhaps, the heftiness of the power supply).

www.crucial.com sells memory, and their database is awesome. They may just have that answer if you shop around on their website.

Case in point: They recommended a PC2700 memory card with 333 bus speed for my computer even though my computer currently has PC2100 at 133 bus speed.
