Just curious as to how many people worldwide have had their penis removed on purpose?

1:37000 people in the western world are said to go though the operation this is both m2f and f2m but divide that in half you sort of get your answer
there are a lot of other people like eunuchs / smoothies that get the chop to but remain living as a male

One woman tried to get a more accurate rate of transsexuality amongst people born physically based on the number of operations, and and came up with 1 in 500.

For those who have opted for the MTF "sex reassignment surgery", the process actually involves cutting the shaft of the penis and inverting it to form the vagina.
Don't know if anyone keeps those statistics, but here is a link that has a history of SRS going back thousands of years.

I heard 10% as the percentage that go all the way with surgery mentioned in a documentary once, no idea how accurate they were.

Very few, these days. Most have it (more or less) inverted and resculpted into a vagina.
(No, I don't have the numbers for how many of us have done that either.)
