Can I wax my pubic hair without having to let other people do it for me?

you can, but i wouldn't suggest it. i would just shave. with the kits they have for in-home waxing, you never really know how badly it will hurt or work. plus, you have to do it yourself... it is going to be really hard to do.

you can, but....you have to be flexible - and willing to pull something that is more painful than a band-aid from your holiest of holies - over and over - and be willing to pull pieces of skin from there as well, because those wil come off with the wax too.
The "wash off" formula's just dont do the job.
The microwave formulas at the drugstore are ok - just be sure that it says that it is safe for "brazilian" waxing. The wax is a different formula for the course hair/thin skin situation in that area.
However, that said, here are somethings you might want to consider -
By the time the swollen bumps (like a plucked chicken) heal, some hairs will be growing back in already. I would just consider trimming things short with a beard trimmer - the effect is essentially the same when your "in action" and you dont have the bother or discomfort - besides, not having any hair is kind of freakishly childish - However, these are some points to consider.
