I believe her name was Jessica McClure. She was trapped in that well in Midland, Texas. The story was covered live by all the news stations- as a result of the media attention, a movie was made about it. I believe that one person ended up committing suicide because of all the pressure (it was like an EMT Who helped her out, I think). Jessica's parents were young, and they ended up getting a divorce. I read about her in People a few years ago, and she was a pretty normal teenager. Not sure what she is doing today though
