Sean was trying to not be a bad guy by singling a person out for a vote and basically not playing the game. He told them up front that he was voting alphabetically, which was part of his demise b/c he wasn't willing to team up with other people and as it got closer to other people's names, they were like "you gotta go!" Other people knew how he was going to vote so they planned on using his vote as a swing vote to get the odds on their side.

Yep, Lainey is right. He voted them off alphabetically by first name.
