A guy that I dated for a very long time wrote this to me. We had lost contact although I still love him. We recently talked and wrote each other.We are both seeing other people and live in different states. At the end of the letter I wrote him, I said "Well, I guess this is goodbye." Above is the last thing he said to me. What do you think it would mean to you? I think that he is saying it is goodbye here on earth, but he will see me in Heaven. Am I wrong?

Maybe he is hurting and still loves you and does not know how to let go. You sure that he does not want to keep talking with you. Did you ask. I know you said that you said you both see other people but your not married and your maybe able to reignite and old flame. :)

Everyone needs a friend once in while and if you still love him, why not give him a call or send another letter to check if he is ok. maybe he is going through a rough patch and needs someone to talk to.

The first thing I thought of is maybe he's suicidal. I think he's resigned to the fact that the two of you will never be together on earth, but he still thinks you are his "soul mate" so to speak.

He sounds very very depressed and I hope he realizes this and gets some help. Depression is very real and unless you get on a good medication or circumstances change in your life, it could be disastrous.

I would question it, it sounds like he maybe depressed even suicidal so call him if you can. Talk to him about it, but don't yell just bring it up and calmly talk.
