i actually am proud when i find great quality for really good prices. i love to bargain shop for quality. i would never spend $200 on a pair of jeans because it isn't in my budget. i would pay $50 for a pair, but $200 is just more than what i am willing to spend. if i had the money, i might be willing to pay that much-- but they would have to fit better than any other pair ever! i wouldn't feel embarrassed if i had the money to do so. if i spent that money & couldn't actually afford it, then i would feel rather stupid. clothes aren't everything & its better to buy what is in your budget.
self-esteem does really have a lot to do with things. some people don't have much confidence & so they feel like their expensive clothes make them better. odd, but true.

I will admit I do buy expensive clothing. Its not because Im saying I have money and I can buy it, its because I choose to wear those brands and clothing. It doesnt make me feel good nor embarrassed, it makes me feel content. I didnt have all the money to wear them when I was younger. So for those who do think that all those people who do wear expensive clothing is just showing off their money well stopping talking about it.

A combination of both. I would feel good about owning an expensive peice of clothing that I saved up for and bought myself. But I would feel embarrassed if I had to beg someone to buy it for me.
Also, expensive clothing isn't always the best looking ones. I often see celebrities wearing insanely pricy clothes that don't even look good.

Depends on where I'm wearing them to. I would feel self-conscious and a little embarassed if I'm the only person in a roomful of poor people. But I'd feel just fine if I was wearing expensive clothes to a nice restaurant because it feels crappy when you're underdressed and they seat you in the back, next to the bathroom.

Well sometimes i wish my mmom would just walk into the stores i want to, but its always its to expensive or we can find that for less somewhere else. I find that when you own clothes everyone else has it makes you have a sense of pride, and you feel better knowing where you got them. WhenI wear clothes from places that are cheap, i feel cheap, and when my friends ask me where i got them i say i don't remember because i know they wouldn't be caught dead there. I let my mom do the shopping so i know that when i say oh i don't remember that its true.but quality over quantity, or in this case when you have a choice between two great shirst and one costs less, get the one that you like better, not because of the brand.

I love the quality of designer clothes, (I've owned some things for years, like my coat, a wonderful investment) but hate the price tag. I can't spend more on a single shirt then I would on rent! I discovered the wonders of Ebay and consignment stores long ago. The people who brag about their $400 t shirts are fake, though, yes. Owning nice things isn't bad, rubbing them in the faces of others is, though

Alot of times expensive clothes are expensive. cuz they have better cuts, which is pretty much saying they a lot better on you. Feel good if you can afford it. feel ghetto if you can't. but like anything its not across the board, so try everything on first.

no, i dont feel like im telling people im better then them when i wear nice clothing. nor does it fill some void in my self-esteem. i just prefer certain types of clothes, as long as they look nice ill pay the price. and the thing is, not many people mention or even notice anything about the price tag.

I wouldn't buy super expensive clothes, they aren't worth it. They are just clothes...inexpensive or expensive. Pants are pants and the bottom line is...everyone puts them on one leg at a time.

Actually, you buy the clothes that you think are comfortable for you so i think if you feel good buying expensive clothes, buy it. Remember that life is only one and you have to enjoy what God is giving you.
