Is your intent to put it in your butt?
If so, gerbil. Otherwise, with all honesty,
they seem cute, but caging another mammel
is really rather barberic. Mammels need space, not jail.
Please don't support such a cruel industry, please!

RABBIT all the way. Hamsters, gerbils, and guinea pigs sleep to much. And if you wake them up some of them will bite you. Rabbits are much like small dogs. You can train them to be pottytrained, walk on a leash, jump up on the couch, and do tons of tricks. Otherwise make sure they have a clean cage, that they have food and water at all times.

Well there was this one time that a rabbit told me to follow him and it led me down a rabbit hole into a very strange land wherein all the people were mad/insane. I don't know if this was a good rabbit or a bad rabbit...but I'm assuming it was a bad rabbit, so I introduced it to this cat I found there. The cat grinned, walked up to the rabbit, pounced it, shredded it to pieces, and then ate him. Afterwards, the cat walked away still grinning. So the point is, you'll have to ask Mr. Cheshire Cat what kind of rabbit this was and if it was any good.

Hamsters and gerbils are much smaller and generally stay in relatively small cages. Guinea pigs take more cage space. Rabbits require large cages and out of cage time, lots of it.

i'm guessing you mean as a pet...

hamsters are cute but they often bite and can escape many cages not specifically designed for animals as small as them. they also **** everywhere and eat their young and it's gross.

gerbils.. never had one but i'm guessing they're relatively similar to hamsters.

guinea pigs are tame and usually calm but also like to nibble on people and can not be as easily trained as a rabbit.

rabbit.... definitely my choice. i had a dwarf rabbit that was litter trained by a month old. they're softer than guinea pigs and their shits are round and hard and usually don't bite. personally i think they're the most loveable and they hop.

Rats!!! They are cute and adorable and you can train them to do anything a dog can be trained to do. They are smart and cleaner than most humans (as long as you don't let the cage get too old). And they fall in love with their owner (as a parent) they only live for about 3 years, but they are great companions.

Hamsters for practical reasons as they're small and you can keep them inside! And they're easy to clean out! They're all lovely though! Depends how much time you have and if you have a back yard or garden. Good luck in deciding!

Keep in mind that a poorly trained, frightened rabbit can do far more damage to your hands and wrists than a smaller animal. They have huge, powerful hind legs, and they use them when they feel threatened.

Guinea pigs don't like to be held.

Rabbits are nice, but I don't think they should be penned. They like to run, but they don't use wheels.

Gerbils bite.

I like hamsters.

If you do get a rabbit, don't wash it. It's very easy to kill a rabbit by washing it, the least bit of water through the nostrils is fatal.

personally, i'd say a rabbit. a friend of mine has a couple guinea pigs, and they smell. another friend has hamsters, and she says they bite a ton.
