I'm due today, my sugar test 1 hour and 3 hour came out extremely high but the doctor goes 'I'm not all that concerned about it." I've been seeing spots "dance" in front of my eyes, hot flashes, extremely bad heartburn (I had heartburn and acid reflux before hand but I honestly don't believe it should be this bad.), extremely bad back aches, bad headaches and every time I mention anything like this to my doctor he goes "don't worry about it, its normal pregnancy fears." But this pain in my chest is in the back right behind my left lung.

I'm extremely worried and I know its not good for me and my baby and I've tried to relax but I can't because I'm constantly monitoring babies movement and keeping track.

Also my doctor told me that as long as I get 2 movements in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 2 in the evening there is nothing wrong. But my primary doc told me I should feel atleast 10 movements every hour.
I'm not a worry wart but I'm extremely nervous.

1. I know a due date is only an estimate.
2. I've been hurting since Sunday with severe chest pains and the docs tell me not to worry about it.
3. I'm worried. I have to drink atleast 2 glasses of juice and eat something really sugary sweet to get my child to move.
4. I'm 100% effaced, 1 cm and -2.

I'm tired of the docs giving me the same answers (don't worry about it, oh its nothing, I've never heard of that but I'm sure its normal). This chest pain feels like a rubber band squeezing my lungs and stabbing at the same time, my back is killing me in waves it feels like, and I think I honestly have a blood sugar problem.

I'm extremely worried about my child. Should I just go to another hospital and go to the ER there? or should I go to my docs labor and delivery hospital and camp out until I get answers, or should I just get a new doctor? I know I sound like a worry wort but I am extremely worried and its my instinct telling me this.

i can't really answer anything except for the glucose test. your doctor is an idiot if hes not concerned about that. i've heard that it doesn't really affect the baby but for your health it is not safe to say i'm not concerned. my husband is type 1 and his doc like his avg to be around 80-100ish. and the spots can be from high blood sugar levels. which if it is you are extremely high and should test your blood if you have a glucose tester. you can find cheap ones at pharmacies. test before you eat and an hour after. if its not arund a 100 or below theres cause for concern. if you do have gestational diaetes try to avoid a high intake of carbs. try to keep it at a healthy amount since this is a big factor in increasing your blood sugar. but you are due soon so just make sure if you have gestational diabetes that it didn't cause any harm to your organs or anything of that sort.

Oh the joys of pregnancy... It sucks doesn't it, As a mother of 4 from ages 20 yr (as of today) 12 , 6. and 20 months I can tell you what you are feeling is normal.. You are getting very close. As far as movement when they are engaged in your pelvis they do not move much. As far as the chest pain i would guess that is more of lung pain as the baby takes up alot of room and lung capacity really goes down. I know your scared.. The first one is like that . and your doctor really should be more patient and explain things to you. Please try to relax I know it's easy for me to say but you really just need to take a long bath and get ready for the big day. Good luck and all will go well.

drink a glass of juice or have a snack and lay down on your left side and see if you feel ten movements in an hour.it is true that the babys movement decreases at the end of pregnancy but i think six moves a day is not enough i never heard about that..just go to labor and delivery and tell them how you're feeling and they will check you out,if somethings wrong you will be glad you went, and if everything is fine(i hope so) at least you wont worry that much because you will know everything is fine
