No, I don't think they are crazy. Certainly, they have been segregated from society for so long that they may appear crazy. Maybe Ben though-he does seem to be a bit of a sociopath. I don't know what they want, but I hope we get an explanation soon. Juliet is a fertility doctor. They took the kids from the tailies, Alex, and tried to take Aaron, Claire's baby. That would make me think they maybe can't reproduce and want the children to carry on their society. But then why did they take Sawyer and Kate? I think maybe they are leftovers from the Dharma Project, still carrying on some of the psychological and physical experiments started by Dharma. They've certainly been messing with the survivors heads.

And only time will tell what the writers decide they are really after.

Oh, they are not crazy. They are too organized to be labeled crazy to put it quite simply. As far as what they want...who knows? They have a book club for crying out loud.
