It's not an addiction, but it is a diagnosable psychiatric disorder. According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), fetishism is the fixation on an inanimate object or a body part. The criteria for diagnosis are:

* Unusual sexual fantasies, drives or behavior occur over a time span of at least six months. Sometimes unusual sexual fantasies occur and vanish by themselves; in this case any medical treatment is not necessary.
* The affected person, her object or another person experience impairment or distress in multiple functional areas. Functional area refers to different aspects of life such as private social contacts, job, etc. It is sufficient for the diagnosis if one of the participants is being hurt or mistreated in any other way.

If you have it and don't want it, go see a licensed therapist.

Well, I think that there can be a difference between a fetish and an addiction. A fetish is something that you really enjoy.... maybe if you have a fetish for shoes you love to look at them and you have a fair amount. An addiction is when you go overboard with something. For example, 20 pairs of shoes would probably be an addiction. As far as how to get rid of it.........I'm not sure I can help ya. It seems like something you may need to ask an expert about, and work through slowly.

In your case...yes sweetie it is.
You could help it by closing some of your questions and then by asking some, unrelated to your addiction.
LOL

Seriously. You need to make yourself focus on other things or if you think it is dangerous, seek professional help. You can pray and ask for guidance also, which always helps me.
