My 8yr old and 10yr old are getting a PS2 each for xmas, and my 4 yr old is getting a GC.

I have no idea what games to get with them... help?

Thanks for all the suggestions I've gotten so far....

Yeah I will be checking the ratings because.... Devil May Cry doesn't sound good.... and I watched all of the Resident Evil movies..... so I don't think I'll be grabbing either of those :)

If they like sports, get them sports games.
Otherwise, you should stick with games like Ratchet & Clank if they like blowing things up, Sly Cooper, if they like sneaking around, or just ask the people in the store you want to buy the games.
Best Buy is selling a bundle of a PS2, and extra controller, and a game for the same price of a PS2, so you could just do that.

Remember to only get them games that are E or E10+, unless if they like Grand Theft Auto.

I don't know what the hot new games are, but when I was played PS2 (which is not so long ago) these were some good ones that are also age appropriate:

Spyro the Dragon (especially for the 8 year old)
My Street (awesome game... lots of fun mini games like dodgeball)
Jak and Daxter (adventure game)
Crash Bandicoot
Simpsons Hit and Run
Tony Hawk Pro Skater games
SSX 3 (snowboarding)
Need for Speed racing

happy holidays

get the 4 year old games like MArio Party or Super Smash Bros.

For the 8 and 10 year olds get them like DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 2 , Madden, Kingdom Hearts, ATV offroad fury, or the Ratchet and Clank/ Jak and Daxter series.

for your 8 and 10 year on and on ps2. you can either try shrek the video game or asterik and oblix. try getting them games that are from the movies like happy feet and over the hedge cause they can relate to. for 4 year old, it is rather tough cause i don't think at that age they can understand and appreciate the game least to say react to the games. my 2 cents worth.
you can try the following 2 websites that have very good video game reviews to decide.

For your 4 year old son, some gamecube games I suggest are probably Super Smash brothers melee, Mario sunshine, paper mario, or some other non-violent games. Gamecube would be a great system since it practically has no blood.

a suggestion they can share the system all 3 of them pick one either way go to your local game store and pick some used games at the workers suggestions either way they are way too young to have their own and they are at a age to learn to share actually it should already be common knowledge
