My windows messenger logs me out when I try to send msgs. Using wireless connection & everything else works?

When I manage to sign in, others see me as offline. Surfing websites is fine and connection signal is excellent. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? and how to fix this problem

Most of the time I've experienced problems with logging on and being offline is because the firewall is blocking some common tcp or udp packets. Make sure if you have software firewall if the program is allow, sometimes its set correctly, but it still does it. Delete the program from Firewall software, run MSN again, allow connection and its work fine again.
