but not all blondes are like that cuz sometimes i dont laugh about a joke 5 minutes later and ok i answered my own question so i am definetly a blonde lol but thats way beside the point ok maybe it isnt... im still thinking about that one

Maybe because they are jealous. I think there have been too many blonde jokes, and personally know some very intelligent blondes. Some blondes play up the dumb thing.

When I dyed my hair blond I got even more special treatment than I usually did. Maybe blonds just get spoiled more (some) and they don't have to put forth as much effort in life...hahaha...it sounds silly, but it really may be true. Then maybe the stereotype sprang from spoiled blond girls taking advantage of not having to think too hard and people may have began associating that behavior with ALL blonds...which is just not true!

It may be unfair to some blondes, but most blondes that I have met have proven the stereotype correct. My sister had to ask me where a certain area of Missouri was. We were watching that area as it was highlighted on the t.v. screen. It was very obvious where it was. We live in that area. I was 12, and she was in her twenties. Go ahead and try to tell me she doesn't deserve to be called a dumb blonde.

Only dumb people would automatically assume blondes are dumb. Besides there are a lot of blondes who weren't born blonde.

Blondes are stereo-typed, especially in jokes. Not all moms are fat or ugly, but if you listened to the jokes about them and took them seriously, you would believe they were. My opinion - some blondes revel in being "dumb" and add to the myth.
