I am really talented, and dont take me wrong, Im not trying to be conceited or anything, I just want your opinions. I can draw like a pro (mostly portriats, fashion designs I dont do landscapes) I've won twice in art contests (theres still more to come), I sing really well ( again, im not conceited), and I THINK im fairly pretty (I'm photogenic and I know I can make it as a model. *My idol is Tyra Banks...hell yesh*, she is just so stunning and great.) I think people have a stereotyping problem against models and thats probably what im most afraid of (that people will treat me differently if I decide to model, my parents are here for me all the way, but im worried about my friends, cousins ect.) Im only 12 and in the 8th grade, but im thinking about my future. Would you be a Model, Artist, Singer, or Fashion Designer? I just need to narrow things down a bit. There are so may possiblities. This is hard.

An interesting questiona and a very interesting young lady asking i would say :) That a compliment for you, a like perspective and aspiring persons. About your future i would say dont be narrow. If you are just good as you say, than you have great chances to become a professional of one of those fields. As far as you are 12, dont choose one of the specialities. Maybe youll change your mind or something, so keep the chance to make career in all of them. First of them is modeling, because you can become a model right now. Fashion designer is much later.. Artist maybe the hardest speciality.. Singer will not go anywhere even if you will be a model, artist and fashion designer at the same time :) Now, seriously if you are thinking about your future, create your portfolio in jurgita.com. All of your mentioned specialities are included there. See what you got, and try to get noticed by industry professionals. That was my start..maybe it will help for you too :)
Good luck and dont forget to be yourself ;)

First of all, how tall are you?
Secondly, just because your friends and family say, "Oh! You should become a model!" Doesn't necessarily mean it's true. I don't mean to be rude, but it's reality. How do you know you could "make it" as a model? Have you had any real experience? How do you know you'll be comfortable to put off the best face that conveys the exact emotion that the photographer and/or retailer want? it's truly a tought job and it's a VERY hard one to be successful at as well. If you're short, then you can basically forget about modelling because most companies won't even look at your photo if you're ATLEAST 5'8".. 5'7" sometimes.

Well it sounds like you'd be best as an artist out of those choices. I don't wanna be mean but to make it in the modeling world you have to be gorgeous not just pretty. I used to do modeling and won ads over for companies like Revlon and PacSun. I was up against a LOT of really pretty girls. Modeling is also super stressful, I'm 5'5"ish and 97 lbs. and some people had the nerve of telling me I'm too skinny! I'm like the average weight for a 5' tall person... so I quit. But art is something that takes talent not just good genes. It's also something that could last, once models don't have that youthful look companies are looking for, their career is over but art is something you can pursue your whole life.

#1, huh? How can you be 12, and in the eighth grade? I'm thirteen, and in the seventh. That is wrong. #2, i would chose fashion disigner for you, because if you can draw great, and you want to draw for a living, and be able to be able to make fashion this is a double thing for you. I say fashion disigner all the way for you! #3, I still dont get how you can be 12, and in the eighth. Please say how.

i think you should focus on other things first. few people ever make it as those things, and everyone has had those dreams at one point. lots of people below say model lots of models are 12 and 5'11", not 5"5".
the others are all subjective and unfortunately, you probably haven't seen much of the world at 12.

i would be a fashion designer or an artist. being a model is way too expensive and they are realllly picky about your body and stuff.
