there is such a huge range for babies. some babies cant even crawl at 9 months, and some are running around like mad. some don't say a word, and some can put a couple words together. look at the book What to Expect the First Year; it will give you a good guideline for developement.

9 month olds babbel, and usually they don't walk till 11-14 months. Should be crawling and getting into everything. Ask your Ped. Get a good baby book to read.

It all depends on the child. My son walked at 9 months 4 days...well ahead of most kids. I don't think he said much then though..can't really remember. Most kids walk by their first birthday, but if yours doesn't that's not bad. I know a kid who didn't walk until he was 16 months.

standing, crawiling, waving, clapping and pointing at things. and saying mama or dada.
i get a weekly newsletter from babycenter.com and it tells me what my son should be doing this week or whatever.... he is up to date!! my son is 9mo 3 weeks and he does all of the above... except pointing to things... he uses his whole hand.... :)
go to babycenter.com and sign up for their weekly newsletter... i love the articles and milestone updates. it even has a chart that shows if you baby is behind or ahead on "milestones" .... every baby is different, but they give a general idea.
