Thomas Jefferson, because he authored and abided by the bill of rights. He doubled the country's size with cash, and hated big governement.

Some say hOnest ABe, Abe wasnt very honest and a shrewd politican. He ordered the largest mass execution in USA history, said that freeing the slaves was not a moral issue but a way to bring the war to a swift end. He also said if he could free some and keep others as slaves and preserve the union he would, thus he didnt care about slavery as he was willing to accept it.

1. Washington was not a war president. He was a general who became a president after the war.

2. I go with Lincoln regardless. Without him there would be no America and the civil war was, in truth, a more dangerous and deadly war than the revolution. The confederate army was better and more determined that the British had been almost a hundred years earlier; or even 50 years before in the War of 1812.

I would have to say it a tie between Lincoln and FDR. FDR was great because he managed to take something a ugly as war and turn it into something good for the country domestically; the New Deal was brilliant. Lincoln was great also because he actually studied the art of war and didn't just rely on advisers for information to make tactical decisions.

George washington.
He led the troops in person and risked his own life and triumphed over impossible hardships and odds using his faith and courage and determination and basic smarts to outwit and defeat a superior force with military skill and barvery. Then he became president for but one term and turned the country over peaceably to the next guy to go back home and farm.
he declined the opportunity to become the King of America.
He won our freedom for us and never asked for reward. He was a true American hero unlike any of the low life scum that lead us now.

George W. Bush, silly. He has been the bravest hero of them all. History books will laud him for initiating the War on Terror. His critics dont see the bigger picture that he is doing everything in his power to protect America.

FDR - kept our country united when we were on the edge of falling apart. If we had a president that wasn't as strong as he was, we probably would not have made it through WW II.
