its ok but you are open to viruses trust me i know from first hand experience

NO you can cause some major problems. The heat will take its toll as a result you Laptops Life will not last as long as a few hours of down time a day. As well if the battery is constantly being used they get hot as well and burn out. Thus could quite possibly fry your laptop. Its kind of worth shutting down when your asleep or at work. The cooler you keep it the better it works. Good Luck man.

The answer is up for debate at this time. Some techs say that you should shut it down. I myself keep mine on and set sleep mode for when I am using the Battery. The best idea is to set the power saver modes and allow the unit to shut down when not in use. I have not had to repair a lap top in the last three years because someone shut it down at night. I have however in the past had to replace power boards, If that is any help.

yeah,my laptop is always on since 4 months.(I turn it off once a week for about 1 or 2 hour).but its hard disc comes very hot and I built two cooling fan for it,and now its cool and still working:D

ya but try to use it on battry mode also
