Put ice on it to get it very cold, then take a thin stiff plastic object, ( I have a kitchen tool for scraping cooking stones that works well) and gently push at the thickest side of the wax spill. it should pop right off. if the wax is thin, you can use a warm dry cloth, like hot out of the dryer to rub it off.
I've had this happen a couple of times, the worse was one that was thin and the dye from the candle left a blue stain, I've not gotten that out, I just put a doily over it.
Good luck

try to pick off as much as you can, but there will be some residue. Get some orange oil and rub with a soft cloth until the residue is gone. It will take a little elbow grease, but it just happened to me and that's is what I did. When it's gone, polish as normal. Good luck.

wd-40 seems to work on alot of things like this and won't harm the wood or finish. Even takes lipstick off of clothes that has been left in dryers. many other use's to. Good luck

It depends on how deeply the stain has penetrated. If you have a veneer finish its possible that its just on the suface, Try spraying windex on it. Allow the windex to sit for no longer than 2 minutes or it may cause bubbling. The dye should wipe clean. If this doesn't work its possible the stain has gone deeper.

You could try putting an ice-pack (wrapped in plastic) on it to harden it. (You know the little things you put in the freezer for lunches?)
You could use a rubber spatula or other similar type of tool intended for non-stick cookware.
An empty toilet paper tube, matchbook cover folded, or piece of a cereal or cracker box folded also make good scrapers.

scrape away as much as you can,you can use paper or paper towels, lay them down on it and use a warm iron, replacing paper as it absorbs the wax.if a dye stain remains from colored wax , sponge it with alcohol diluted with two parts water then rinse with water. hope i helped, God Bless.

boil some water pour it on the wax, it will melt it enough to wipe it up immediately.

Ice it, then smack it gently with a hammer and a paper towel covering it.
