Hey,
I really want a boyfriend, and have been asked out but my Mom won't let me go out, what should I do???? My cousin who is my age has had like 4 boyfriends and has never told her Mom, I don't want to do that because I tell my Mom like everything! What should I do???

Tell your mom that you want to date. Tell her its not like nothing " serioous" would happen because many mothers worry about that just say you'd like to know how it feels just to go on one date and you'lll see if it was ok. good idea never hide things like that from you mother it just makes things worse a friend of mine had a boyfriend and kept it secret but the longer she was with the boyfriend, the more she had to lie to her.

Karina,it seems to me you have a rear quality,it is in your best interest,to take your mom's advise.Educate your self,chose a career,you don't want to start your family with any,regrets from your past.It's so easy to mess your life up.Think about the harrow stories and hold your head up,continue to keep that honest relationship with your Mom.

If you have a good relationship with your mother, then I would do as she is asking. She has good reasons. It all depends on how old that you are also. Don't worry so much about having a boyfriend. You have all of your adult life to find someone. Get a good education, make a good career for yourself and then worry about boyfriends. Good luck!!

8th grade is middle school and in ms you dont need a bf. im 15,a freshman and im not even asking my mom if i can have a boyfriend. anyway you date to find a spouse, do you really think a 13 year old needs a spouse

I wasnt allowed a boyfriend until I was 16 and my mom was still very overprotective about it. But now I know better and know why she was like that. My husband says our daughter can date when she is over 30..not any sooner..lol. He is kidding but still how most parents think.

your mom loves you and you are her baby, you are growing up and it is going to be hard on her knowing that you want a boyfriend because that may be new to her. she is just looking out for you and years from now you will thank her for it because i was in your shoes and i thank my mom everyday now for being the way she was. when you ask her if you can go out on a date and she says no, she is only looking out for you so you dont get hurt in any way. trust me.

IT DEPENDS ON HOW OLD YOU ARE 10-13 YEARS AND SHE COULD JUST BE WORRIED SOMETHING COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. 14-17 YEARS MEANS SHE'S BEING 'WAYYYYYY' TOO OVERLY PROTACTIVE. THIS IS, LIKE, REALLY BAD ADVICE FOR SOMEONE TO GIVE A TEEN BUT I'D JUST GO OUT ANYWAY. EITHER THAT, OR WAIT TILL IM 14, CAUSE IM 12 AND MY MOM SAYS I CANT GO OUT TILL IM 14 BUT I GO ON DATES ANYWAY. BUT IF YOUR REALLY CLOSE TO YOUR MOM THEN TRY TO CHANGE HER MIND. YOU CAN ALWAYS PROVIDE HER WITH GOOD INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOYS THAT ASK YOU OUT OR LIKE. YOU CAN TELL HER HOW YOUR COUSIN HAS BF'S, HOW MUCH YOU LIKE THEM, THAT YOUR NOT A LITTLE GIRL ANYMORE, THAT YOU KNOW IF SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU HAVE HER TRUST, THAT YOU WONT BE MAKING OUT OR KISSING ON THE FIRST DATE, THAT YOU'LL ALWAYS TELL YOUR MOM WHAT GOES ON ON THE DATES, ETC. lady please, from a haitian lady to a haitian lady, at the same time as have you ever heard haitians letting there daughters date. not in any respect! the instantaneous they even suspect its like "Ke Sa"?!?!?!
