Fake. The artificial ones are easier to maintain than the real ones. I'm lazy so I can't be bothered with the upkeep and care of having a real tree. Adding water to the little tree pot it's standing in and vacuuming the fallen pine needles are too much of an inconvenience for me. Sometimes the real trees have bugs too. Who the hell wants that? Not me that's for sure. I would have a fake tree and I want it to look as genuine as possible so it would have to be green.

would rather have a fake green Christmas tree because it's such a pain to deal with a real one. You have to pick one out, then find a way to get it to the house, have someone strong enough drag it in then clean up all the dry pine cones every single day. A fake one will do just fine.

I would love to have a real one i think they are so beautiful and the smell would be so calming for me, but i only have the same fake one i have had for the last 6 years, its more practical oh and tree i would have to be green, it think it feels more like Christmas with a green tree.

A fake one (white) even though now I have a green one. I wouldn't want to take care of the tree--experience.

A real one. Christmas is becoming more and more "fake" and commercialized. I prefer a real tree because it is old-fashioned and traditional and the smell of a live tree is wonderful.
And extra bonus, not having to deal with hunting down lost parts!

I would rather have a fake one, because you don't have to worry about fire danger and all the shedding a real tree does. I would rather have a green one.

I would prefer a live one, still in the ground, but decorated.
I have a fake green one because it is so easy to use.

fake green one of our old family friends had a real one with lights that were clap on clap off and the dog barked when they were outand almost burt the house down

Alive because it's part of the tradition to go and cut it down. We use to all go, the whole family, but the past couple of years it's just been me and my dad (I always go!) and that's still fun for me...I love picking out the tree! :)
