Richard Nixon made mistakes but he was very good at foreign relations. Other presidents have gotten advice from him on how to handle different foreign talks.

Richard Nixon did some good things while he was President. His foreign policy was excellent, getting us to talk to China, for example. He helped the environment, signing the law that started the Environmental Protection Agency. His domestic economic policies were a disaster. Wage and price cannot stop inflation. If it weren't for Watergate, he would be rated as a good president overall. Compared the the secrecy and scandals of our current administration, Watergate was a minor transgression.

I would. He used vietnamization to get our troops of Vietnam after no president could find a solution. He created the EPA and started to make diplomatic relations with China. I see him more as a tragic hero with a tragic flaw. Paranoia was his downfall. His is a sad story. If you want more information about him and his presidency check out the book Bush and Nixon: shame of America. The author portrays Nixon as a tragic hero, too.

Nixon on no account easily admitted to being area of the watergate mess. he basically constantly mentioned that he became into no longer a criminal. Nixon, like different presidents constantly felt that he became into above the regulation and the form meant no longer something. there's a definite vanity that overcomes human beings interior the white domicile. They experience that each and every thing they do is high quality no count number what.

I will. My first memories were of the Watergate trials. I really don't have an indepth understanding of the issue.
I think modern day politics are much sleazier, and I'm cutting across the board.

Nixon did fine until he let the power go to his head with the Watergate coverup and the enemies list. He was monumentally better than the current Republican who has let power go to his head.

Not me. He used the FBI and the Justice Dept. for overt political ends. He lied about a 'secret plan' to end the war in Vietnam (the secret plan amounted to pulling the troops out).
