This is my second pregnancy and I cant seem to remember when the baby begins to hear you if you talk to it. I am 7 weeks pregnant and I know ears begin to develop now. Does that mean it can hear?

according to the book, Great Expectations Your All In One Resource for Pregnancy and Childbirth, your baby's hearing system begins fine development at 18 weeks, and by week 26 can hear things outside of the womb clearly. I would think that means he or she can hear things inside the body at around 18 weeks or so.

Everything for the hearing is developing around week 11, but they dont really start to hear too much until around week 18 and on. They will get startled by loud noises by then, etc.... I read about this and watched it on the National Geographic channel, In the Womb.
