How much money do billing and coding specialist make a year or an hour?? someone know ?

Anybody that went to School for Medical Insurance and Coding can tell me at how much they start off at , and what is the possible amount you can make?

I did that for about a year. Even went to school for it. heheh. I was working for Kaiser and it was supposed to be one of the good paying companies. I got 13.50 an hour but the benefits were good.

Not exactly worth getting out of bed for. It depends on where you work. Especially dealing with all them books and little black and white writing and coding and all kinds of bs. One tiny little undetailed coding...NO PAYMENT.

Doctors offices start at 9.50 to 12.00. and hospitals...no more than 14.00.

It depends on what state your in and what the pay is there too.

I moved on to being a Bill Collector...it pays twice the salary and I make commission.
