Most of the people on here only ask questions to start trouble. Just because you disagree with somebody doesn't mean you have to attack them. We should be able to have a free exchange of ideas on here. If people would quit with the attacks and name calling, they might just realize that we share a lot of the same goals for our country, we just have different ideas on how to achieve them. Instead of belittling somebodies position, people should try and use facts and reason to convince them otherwise. It might not work, but it's much better than just saying "liberals/conservatives are stupid." There should be some kind of quiz about politics that people have to take to get access to this section. Maybe that would keep out the people that just want to start trouble and call names, because I'm guessing that almost all of them have no idea what they're talking about.

To have a debate and maybe consider other peoples points of view. Im a very true flying conservative republican but some times i think a certain democrat idea or two should be included in bills we are trying to pass in congress. Many peoples views on sensitive issues are not black and white but shades of grey.

First, I'm a Democrat and the point is to try and at least understand each others point's of view. Just because we disagree on how to get things done does not mean that we disagree on the ultimate goal; the pros parity of the American people. Maybe if we both try a little harder to understand each other instead of just automatically disagreeing with one another because of party affiliation then we may just come up with better ways of solving America's problems then either of us could have come up with on our own.

Thats the whole point, that nobody understands nobody, that the beauty of politics is having an argument without ending in a solution. Is it this very interesting? For me YES!

People like beatings.
I usually take the MIDDLE ground, I'm real polite, and I get hammered from both sides.
Reminds me of getting between two pit bulls in a dog fight.
I pretty much gave up too.

Still it's interesting to know others' views and make comparisons with your own. I hear that you Americans dislike anyone who disagree with you. Is this true?
