If you are going to walk to meet you date it take time. However if you go by car and have increased your travel velocity you will meet your date faster. No dilation works here. Haven you schrunk time?

Would also your travel distance schrink as well as time. And if you travel almost at the speed of light you meet you date almost instantaneously?

Time dialation and length contraction only occur when you're travelling at relativistic speeds. Walking and driving a car are no where near relativistic speeds and therefore no time dialation or length contraction occur. At non-relativistic speeds, Einstein's equations reduce to the Newtonian mechanics equations.

Time dilation and shrinking are connected, as you travel faster and faster towards the speed of light, time slows down (if you can reach the speed of light, it stops completely). The shrinking also occurs, as you get closer to the speed of light, your length becomes smaller. As does the length of the distance you are travelling. I can't really explain it, but it is somewhat simple to learn conceptually, and the math isnt that hard either.

As for the second part of your question, I'm not sure what you are asking?

This question is apparently exceeding my ability to comprehend.

The time and distance dilation is clear, but the, "where you are and not where you are not," completely escapes me.

Obviously, you cannot be in two places at once, and if your not there, you must be here, or someplace else?

TIME ISNT WHAT WAS THERFORE IT IS WHAT YOU ARE NOT. I AM THEREFORE YOU ARE NOT. WHY AM I HERE WHEN I WAS NOT THERE?
