Take amateur photos of yourself and make a portfolio. Agencies do not want to see professional portrait studio photos. Also make sure they never ask you to put money down otherwise it is a scam. Do not take nude or topless photos. Bathing suit is okay. Always remember that you may be turned down 5,6,7 times before getting into an agency but don't give up. Good luck!

You have the correct body proportions for catwalk modelling. It would depend on your ability to photograph well whether you would be suitable for photographic modelling.Good bone structure and facial symmetry are a must you don't have to be beautiful or even that good looking.
I am presuming you have not done any child modelling. It helps but its not essential.
Make appointments with a few reputable agencies.Taking Mum or a female adult along is a must.At this stage I would not pay out any money for a portfolio though many will try and convince you its essential. That is how some make the money NOT by getting you work. The more heavy the sales pitch the more likely the agency is dubious.
Take some deportment classes also public speaking ,its a great confidence builder. You will need all the confidence you can gain.In the eyes of the agents you will not be treated and talked about as a person with feelings,to them you are a product .The same as a can of Coca Cola.
I suggest you don't think abut giving up studies.Even if you make it a models "shelf life" is very short, and you need something after the glamour has gone.Grab every chance you have to be seen by the public,in a positive way.Keep healthy of body and mind.Be sure this is what YOU want to do, for you may have to make some incredibly hard personal sacrifices. If its really what you want, then don't dream it,live it.
The very best of luck in your career.

Hi Penny, Do you really want to be a model? Don't do something that you don't want to do.You know that models do starve themself to kept that every thin look.If that's what you really what to do. Make up a nice book or what ever you call it, of picture with you doing different poses and some picture like you are modeling. Take then to the nearest modeling company, and see what they think.Maybe if your lucky, they will see something in you they like, and you get the job. Always walk with your shoulders back,it's good form. Good Luck My Friend. I wish you the best.

hi penny, i want to be a model too and for your size you'll be great. if you live in or close by one of the major fashion capitals of the world, you can go to Elite, IMG, Wilhelmina, Women, or DNA modeling agencies. pich whichever one works for you and i guarantee you'll get a job. n remember , a porfolio is important. most stereotyped people say that models are anorexic and have eating disorders but if thats your dream go for it, girl!! u can do it!! oh yea, a legitimate modeling agency would not ask you to pay upfront.. they will deduct money from your earned salaries when you start your modeling career.
