I have installed pc anywhere on 2 computers at my office (both on the same lan) they work on diff ports. When I connect from my home (via tcp/ip) one is incredibly slow the other fine. Why is this, they both use the same internet connection and have the same specs?

It all depends if one computer has more memory and GB (gigabits) of hard drive . The bigger, the faster.

If you are using a router, whether all are wired or wirelessly, the computer that is closet to the router will get the majority of the speed. It has nothing to do with specs or which is newer is just has to do with which one is closest to the router. You may need to clean the temp cookies and temp files on both computers so it may even out the speed.
