I'm Italian from Italy and albeit I'm Catholic I just have a light dinner of meat on Christmas Eve. I don't have lots of pasta and fish. Just saying...just because you're from an Italian family, doesn't mean that all Italians have the same habit.

Since I lost my family, I go to a movie alone and eat dinner at a Chinese restaurant.
LATER: What? I get a thumbs down cause I'm alone through the holidays? That's some spirit you got for the less fortunate!

Do you have friends or family close? Either invite them over or go to their house, sometimes you have to start your own traditions, so put your heart into it and bring as much love as you can into your holidays. that's what counts the most.

This year I will be spending it alone. My daughter is going to my parents in Michigan with my brother. My soon to be ex-husband will be at his parents. My soon-to-be roommate will be with his family. I will be asleep at the house till it is time to be at work that night.
