Well it does depend! (Sorry 'bout that). There are many different doctors in many different fields. Oncology docs make around 100,000 a year and a heart doc makes around one million a year. Family docs make around 70.000 to 80.000.

One cannot generalize how much a physician gets paid. Some doctors have their own practice. Others work for a clinic or hospital.

It depends on the city/state where they live (sorry, hon, it's true) a physician in New York City is not going to make the same amount of money as a physian in the small town of Wasila, Alaska!

Specialists: Brain surgeons, gynecologists, emergency medicine, internal medicine, private practice, chiropractors, podiatrists, optometrists . . .
