HP laptops have traditionally been build on a solid hardware platform. Some may question the price you pay for the HP/Compaq name. Of course the real question is what will you be using it for and will the machine have the resources (i.e. CPU, memory and HD capacity) to support your use. Bottom line is yes HP provides a solid product.

That question kind of resembles "Is a ford a good car". Not having enough information available no one can give good advice.
HP is a pretty reputable company. Why not compare similar models from 2 other manufacturers with similar features, compare prices and pick the one that you think will suit you best?

my HP is Pretty reliable well its not technically a HP its a Compaq but they are made by the same company so yeah i,d say its a good computer

Yes they are good. Just make sure there is a warrentee on the amd because i know they are having problems with them. but other then that oh and get the duo core one.
